Josh Reese has spent over a decade pioneering advanced analytics capabilities at Navy Federal Credit Union, including mathematical optimization for loan pricing and underwriting, machine learning for fraud mitigation and discrete event simulation for capacity management and business process improvement. 

Josh started in the Lending department in 2010 as an analyst and eventually led the Lending Analytics team where he was responsible for credit risk management and underwriting strategies for over $75B in Lending assets across all lines of business. In his current role, Josh leads a major enterprise transformation effort modernizing Navy Federal’s enterprise data and analytics capabilities in order to drive improved member experience. This effort encompasses everything from technology to talent and focuses on the industrialization of artificial intelligence and driving relevant insights to Navy Federal’s member-facing channels. 

Prior to Navy Federal, Josh worked as an R&D Scientist at a software company providing advanced price optimization and analytics software to Fortune 500 companies. Josh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX and a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from the University of Houston.
